There are things in our past that can negatively impact our future if we fail to address them, particularly trauma and secrets. When we are driven by secrets and unresolved trauma, we can find ourselves paying no attention, sabotaging relationships, suffering from mental health issues, battling insomnia, and so much more.
In a very thoughtful way, John D. Thomas speaks to the personal effects of a secret and the trauma in his life while attempting to provoke readers to find that safe space to speak to heal.
Born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Marion, South Carolina, John D. Thomas, the second of four children, is a man with the well-being of others constantly at heart. He is a mental health and HIV and AIDS advocate.
In his spare time, he enjoys gathering with friends, listening to music, singing without an audience, and being an amateur scientist in the kitchen. John graduated from Union Theological Seminary in the city of New York with a Master of Psychology and Religion.
